The building of the hydrodynamic power plant will house the Porto Vecchio museum complex and the Institute of historical culture and port maritime training, representing a very valuable example of conservative restoration almost unique in a country like Italy.
Muca, Museo dei Cantieri Navali di Monfalcone - The museum is located on the ground floor of the former workers' hotel in the village of Panzano, the "company town" that grew up in the 1920s around the shipyard on the initiative of the first owners, the Cosulichs . The Museum tells the story of the construction site and the city. Located next to the shipyards where the most beautiful cruise ships in the world are still built, inserted in the fascinating context of the "garden city" of Panzano, the Museum allows an engaging experience in a productive and lively industrial reality.
Location - Museum of the Malnisio Power Station and Science Center - The “Antonio Pitter” hydroelectric plant in Malnisio in the province of Pordenone is a splendid example of industrial archeology converted into a Science Center where it is possible to retrace its history and understand its functioning. Located in the natural context of the Pordenone foothills, it is part of a system of plants for the hydroelectric exploitation of the Cellina stream, built in the early 1900s. In operation since 1905, the plant closed in 1988, keeping all the machinery perfectly intact and preserved. Having acquired the property, the Municipality of Montereale Valcellina was able to begin the recovery intervention thanks to funding from the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the European Community, but also thanks to the association of former employees of the plant. From the beginning, it has been entrusted to the Scientific Imaginary. Since 2017 it has returned under the management of the Municipality of Montereale Valcellina.
