New Era Quartet

An ensemble of young musicians from different backgrounds but with one goal: to make music together and get excited by playing. Enthusiastic and determined, the quartet represents a New Beginning for them.
The New Era quartet was born in 2021 at the "Giuseppe Tartini" Conservatory in Trieste. The training gathers members are Kristina Mlinar, Teodora Kaličanin, Ecem Eren, Iryna Bobyreva; from Serbia/Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Turkey and Ukraine and immediately managed to establish itself in various national and international competitions.
In 2022, they won the 1st prize at the ULJUS International Music Competition in Smederevo and several second prizes at the "International Music Competition City of Palmanova", at the "Luigi Cerritelli International Competition" and at the "Beethoven Young Musicans Competition" in Vienna.
In 2023, they won the 3rd prize and Special Prize (invitation to the festival in France “Musique et Patrimoine en Vienne et Gartempe”) at the International Chamber Music Competition “Giulio Rospigliosi”.
They make their debut in 2022 holding concerts for the musical review of the Associazione Ensemble Serenissima "Concerti a Palazzo" in Sacile and in Grado in the Basilica Sant'Eufemia as part of the "Summer Concerts" organized by the Corale Città di Grado association, "I Conservatorio” at the “Giuseppe Tartini” Conservatory of Trieste, in 2023 “Le Stanze della Musica allo Schmidl” presented by the young musicians of the “G. Tartini” Conservatory of Trieste.
The quartet made its debut in France in August 2023, touring and holding 3 successful concerts with the kind support of the Fortecello duo, the "Musique et Patrimoine en Vienne" Association and the "Hors Saison Musicale" Association.
In 2022 the ensemble was selected to join the Le Dimore del Quartetto network.
They are currently studying at the “G. Tartini” in Trieste, the city that united them, with Maestro Alberto Franchin (Quartetto Nous) and they perfect themselves with masterclasses held by Maestros Sergio Lamberto and Simone Gramaglia.
